Not every business has a large marketing and advertising budget to increase their visibility, but you can still get the word out for little or no cost. Here’s how:
Ask for referrals from every satisfied customer.
Don’t assume they’ll automatically give you a referral because, in all probability, they won’t – so never forget to ask!
Get creative with business cards.
Describe what you do on the back of the card, but be clever and concise! And remember to include your participation on FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn or any of the social media sites. Lastly, take them wherever you go, as you never know when you’ll need them!
Become an expert in your industry.
You may not think you have a particular expertise, but others will, especially if you’ve been in an industry more than 10 years. So let speakers’ bureaus, radio, TV and newspapers know that you’re available to share all that stored-up knowledge.
Use the BBB logo on your marketing and advertising materials.
We can’t think of a better way to make a strong statement and establish credibility with your prospective customers. And you’ll set yourself apart from your competitors, too!
